Ways to Serve & Get Involved

There is a place for everyone here. Whether you have five minutes or a full Sunday morning, your participation strengthens this congregation and the Yuma community we serve together.

In the Congregation

Serve as Liturgist

The liturgist leads the congregation through responsive readings, prayers, and portions of the worship service. It is a meaningful way to participate in leading Sunday worship and requires no special training — just a willing heart and a clear voice.

To sign up, contact Ryan in the church office (Mon–Thu, 9 am – 2 pm).

Bring Sunday Refreshments

Fellowship after worship is one of the small joys that makes our church feel like home. Bringing refreshments — whether something baked, store-bought, or simply a pot of coffee — is a simple and deeply appreciated way to serve your neighbors each Sunday.

Sign up on the sheet in Westminster Hall, or contact Ryan to add your name to a future Sunday.

Share Pass-Along Cards

Pass-along cards are small cards with our church's name, address, service times, and website — easy to hand to a neighbor, coworker, or friend who might be looking for a church home. Placing one on a bulletin board or tucking one into a conversation can open a door for someone who is still searching.

Cards are available on the table in the sanctuary. Take as many as you'd like.

Leave a Review

When someone new moves to Yuma and searches for a church, the first thing they often see is ratings on Google Maps or Yelp. A warm, honest review from one of our own members — even just a sentence or two — tells that person what kind of community they'll find here before they ever walk through our doors. Reviews also signal to search engines that our church is active and trusted, which helps us appear higher in local results.

Search First Presbyterian Church Yuma on Google Maps or Yelp and tap the stars to leave a rating.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube use algorithms to decide how many people see each post. When you like or share something we publish, the platform reads that as a signal that the content is worth spreading — and shows it to more people, including friends and neighbors who don't yet know us. Following our accounts also ensures you see our posts in your own feed, which keeps you connected and adds to our visible presence in the community.
